Who I Am

Hi, I’m Kristine, a 36-year-old stay-at-home mom to a pair of energetic twins and a lifelong animal lover. Dogs have always been a big part of my world. Even before starting Barktastic Boarding, I spent years caring for dogs for friends, neighbors, and family—simply because it made me happy and felt natural to me.

At home, I’m the proud mom of Axel, my sweet and gentle Great Dane who is truly the heart of our family. He’s friendly, patient, and loves having new dog friends around. Living with such a big, loving dog has taught me patience, responsibility, and just how deeply animals can become part of our lives.

I created Barktastic Boarding because I understand how stressful it can be to find a sitter who genuinely cares. When you leave your dog with someone, you’re trusting them with a member of your family—and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. I treat every dog who comes through my door with the same love, attention, and respect I give Axel and my own children.

My goal is to give families a place where they feel completely comfortable, knowing their pet is safe, happy, and truly cared for. I love what I do, and I’m grateful for every dog and every owner who chooses to trust me.
